Football Betting Tips – 26th & 27th September 2015

This weekend sees some great games being played across the continent and for those of you who like to look a little further afield in search of good value odds, we have four great selections for you. First up is Atletico Madrid’s trip to Villareal and with both sides in good nick that should be a really exciting game, particularly as it will be the first time Luciano Vietto will travel to El Madrigal since leaving the Yellow Submarine.

On Sunday, Leeds United make the short trip north to face Middlesbrough and the West Yorkshire outfit will be looking to continue their impressive recent record against the North East side. In Germany, one of the more intriguing games sees Borussia Dortmund play host to newly promoted side Darmstadt and the Lilies have impressed in their first season back in the Bundesliga for 33 years. Also impressing are Jocelyn Gourvennec’s Guingamp side who have won their last three matches and they play host to AS Monaco.

  • Villareal v Atletico Madrid – Atletico Madrid to win (7/5 at BetVictor)
  • Middlesbrough v Leeds United – Both teams to score (20/21 at BetVictor)
  • Borussia Dortmund to win by 2 goals (3/1 at Bet365)
  • Guingamp v Monaco – Guingamp to win (13/5 at BetVictor)

Villareal v Atletico Madrid – 26th September

This game will certainly be a tight affair between two sides who both harbour ambitions of reaching next season’s Champions League. We’re tipping Atletico to come through this and given the way they have played at times this season, odds of 7/5 with BetVictor look very tempting to say the least.

Luciano Vietto and Jackson Martinez haven’t really got going so far this season and whilst the two big money signings find their feet at the Vicente Calderon it is the prodigal son who is pulling up trees. Fernando Torres has enjoyed a stellar start to the season and he is now on 99 goals for his hometown side and we’re backing him to fire los Rojiblancos to victory. Diego Simeone’s side have won three of their four matches so far this season including an impressive 3-0 win away at Sevilla and we’re backing them to get another win on the road in this one.

  • Atletico Madrid to win – 7/5 at BetVictor

Middlesbrough v Leeds United – 27th September

Leeds have been in decent nick under Uwe Rosler so far this season and they have only been beaten once as they aim to be one of many teams looking to squeeze into the play-off slots. They travel to the Riverside on the back of a 2-1 win over MK Dons and the Yorkshire side have won five of the last seven meetings.

However, Boro have been in fine early season form and they are many people’s tips to win the division and it is games like these that Aitor Karanka’s side are going to have to get through if they are to achieve that. Last season a distinctly average United side took six points off the Teessiders and whilst it looks a tough call as to who will prevail in this game, we like the look of both teams to score. Only two of United’s games so far this season have featured a clean sheet and whilst they look to have added goals to their game, they still struggle defensively.

  • Both teams to score – 20/21 at BetVictor

Borussia Dortmund v Darmstadt – 27th September

Thomas Tuchel’s Borussia Dortmund side look as though they are going to be the side who are the main challengers to Bayern Munich and at the time of writing they are the only two sides to have a 100% record. On Sunday they host Darmstadt 98 who have enjoyed a meteoric rise from Germany’s fourth tier in 2011 to the Bundesliga and they have made a good start to life back in the top tier.

However, we can’t see them getting anything out of this game at the Westfalenstadion and it may well be a long afternoon for the Darmstadt fans. Dortmund have been really impressive this season and their 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen really underlined their title credentials and they have won all 11 of their competitive matches so far this term and they have scored 18 goals in their opening five Bundesliga matches. As such, we’re backing a comfortable win for the Black and Yellows.

  • Borussia Dortmund to win by two goals – 3/1 at Bet365

Guingamp v Moncao – 27th September

Jocelyn Gourvennec’s side are currently in the midst of a three game winning streak and they sit one point ahead of their opponents this weekend. EAG have been fairly impressive so far this season and they will benefit from the fact that they don’t have to play in the Europa League this season as they, like so many other sides with small squads and tight purse-strings, failed to compete on both fronts as they fell to Dynamo Kiev at the round of 32 stage.

The Brittany-based side were the victors the last time the sides met and that victory was Guingamp’s first win in eight meetings with Monaco. The visitors are certainly no slouches but they have been a bit up and down at times this season and it wouldn’t be a great surprise if they returned home empty handed from a fixture which has produced three red cards in the last four meetings between the two outfits. However, the major thing that caught our eye with this fixture was the fact that Guingamp are available to win at great odds. Given their recent form and the fact that they won the last meeting between the two sides and they are playing in front of their own fans, odds of 13/5 on a home win look too good to pass up.

  • Guingamp to win – 13/5 at BetVictor
