Following Everton’s Monday night clash with Southampton there are another seven Premier League games taking place in midweek, with the likes of table-toppers Manchester City, their nearest challengers Manchester United, current champions Liverpool and top four hopefuls Chelsea all in action. The leaders host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday, while heavyweights Liverpool and Chelsea go head-to-head at Anfield on Thursday night.

Monday 1st March 2021

Everton v Southampton

20:00, Sky Sports, Goodison Park

On Monday night, the Premier League weekend concludes when Everton welcome Southampton to Goodison Park. These two will come into this game in very different moods, the Toffees buoyant and well rested after beating Liverpool last Saturday. In contrast the Saints slipped to yet another defeat on Tuesday, going down 3-0 to Leeds. After their famous win at Anfield, can the Toffees make it back-to-back victories on Monday?

Everton have been in patchy form, but they finally got the better of rivals Liverpool last time out, with Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson netting in a 2-0 win. As for the Saints, they have lost seven and drawn one of their last eight league games. They also picked up an injury to key midfielder Oriol Romeu in midweek, whilst Everton are starting to get more and more of their key players back fit. Football is a funny old game, especially this season, but we see only one winner here, so back Everton to win -1 at the very decent odds of 3/1.

Tuesday 2nd February 2021

Manchester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers

20:00, BT Sport, Etihad Stadium

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will be gunning for a 21st league and cup victory in a row when they welcome Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves to the Etihad Stadium in Premier League action on Tuesday. City’s stunning form has fired them 12 points clear at the top of the table and it would take a momentous collapse in fortunes for them to fail to win the title from this dominant position.

Since a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on 15th December, the Citizens have won 14 Premier League matches on the trot, which has proved too hot to handle for the title rivals. Wolves have improved lately after a run of poor form but City are on fire and they should secure another comfortable league victory in midweek. Back the hosts to be winning at half time and full time at odds of 8/11.

Wednesday 3rd February 2021

Burnley v Leicester City

18:00, Sky Sports, Turf Moor

On Wednesday, relegation-threaten Burnley entertain Champions League contenders Leicester City at Turf Moor. Both teams will be hoping to bounce back after disappointing defeats at the weekend. The Foxes, who sit in third place as things stand, are the favourites with the bookies to get the three points.

Burnley were very much second best at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, falling to a heavy 4-0 defeat. Leicester, meanwhile, had a poor week, crashing out of the UEFA Europa League and losing 3-1 at home to Arsenal in the league. However, City have the joint best away record in the Premier League and we’ll be backing Brendan Rodgers’ boys to win this one at a nice price of 21/20.

Sheffield United v Aston Villa

18:00, BT Sport, Bramall Lane

Bottom side Sheffield United host high flying Aston Villa at Bramall Lane on Wednesday night. After an excellent win at Leeds United last time out, Dean Smith’s Villans will be looking for another three points on their travels in midweek.

The Blades are certain to be heading back down to the EFL Championship, as Chris Wilder’s boys are a whopping 15 points adrift of safety with just 12 games to play. Aston Villa have picked up seven away wins this term, keeping clean sheets in all of them, and have their eyes on Europa League qualification. We think taking a punt on the away win to nil on Wednesday at odds of 9/2 looks the way to go.

Crystal Palace v Manchester United

20:15, Sky Sports, Selhurst Park

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes his Manchester United troops to Selhurst Park on Wednesday night to face Roy Hodgson’s stubborn Crystal Palace side. The Red Devils are the only team left in the Premier League with an unbeaten away record and we can’t see them losing on their travels against Palace.

Palace have been in patchy form of late and the Eagles have picked up just two home wins since November. United have been excellent on the road and Ole’s boys should win this one relatively comfortably. Last term, Man United won 2-0 at Selhurst and a repeat scoreline is available at odds of 13/2.

Thursday 4th February 2021

Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur

18:00, BT Sport, Craven Cottage

Two London teams square off at Craven Cottage on Thursday evening as Scott Parker’s Fulham entertain Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham. The Cottagers have been tough to beat lately but can they cause an upset on home soil in midweek against a Tottenham side who might have just found their winning touch?

After a good run, Fulham are now only three points from Premier League safety. Spurs have been in woeful form in the league of late but Jose’s boys were superb in Sunday’s 4-0 home win over Burnley and looked as though they could have turned a corner. The Cottagers held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw in the reverse game though and we like the look of the draw and both teams to score on Thursday at odds of 15/4.

West Bromwich Albion v Everton

18:00, Sky Sports, The Hawthorns

West Brom and Everton do battle at The Hawthorns in Premier League action on Thursday. The Baggies picked up a priceless home win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend, which was their first home victory in three months.

Everton are in patchy form, but they did beat rivals Liverpool at Anfield in their last away game. Carlo Ancelotti’s boys will fancy their chances of picking up three points on the road again, and the away win is nicely priced here at 5/6.

Liverpool v Chelsea

20:15, Sky Sports, Anfield

On Thursday night, Liverpool and Chelsea lock horns in a mouth-watering Premier League fixture at Anfield. The Reds have lost four games in a row at home, which has put a major dent in their aspirations to retain the Premier League title. Meanwhile, the Blues are unbeaten since new boss Thomas Tuchel arrived at the club and they will fancy their chances of getting something from this game.

Incredibly, by their very high standards, Liverpool have failed to win any of their last six matches at home, drawing two and losing four. The Reds’ 68-game unbeaten league run at Anfield seems like a distant memory already. Chelsea have looked very good under Tuchel, having won six and drawn three of their last nine games in all competitions. However, their last two in the league have ended in draws. The draw here is priced at odds of 13/5 and looks a solid option to us.
