The first batch of UEFA Champions League Round of 16, second legs will take place in midweek. On Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla meet in Germany, while Italian giants Juventus welcome Porto to Turin. Liverpool’s campaign continues when they take on RB Leipzig in Budapest on Wednesday and Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona square off in France with PSG very much in control of the tie after a storming win in the first leg.

Tuesday 9th March 2021

Borussia Dortmund v Sevilla

20:00, BT Sport, Westfalenstadion

Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla meet at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday night. This tie is in the balance after the German side nicked a 3-2 win at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last month. Can Borussia get the job done on home soil? The Spaniards won’t have given up on the tie by any means, but do they possess the ammunition to overcome a very capable Dortmund side?

These two played out a thriller in the first leg in Spain, and the evenly matched teams could put on another show this Tuesday. Based on home advantage and the greater available talent, we can see Dortmund claiming another narrow win here. As such, we’ll be backing the hosts to win by a one goal margin again at odds of 3/1.

Juventus v Porto

20:00, BT Sport, Juventus Stadium

Juventus and Porto square off at the Juventus Stadium in Turin on Tuesday with the Italians looking to overcome the defeat they suffered on 17th February in Portugal. Andrea Pirlo’s boys might be behind in the tie, but the Italian giants are the bookies’ favourites to go through to the last eight.

Porto impressed at the Estadio do Dragao and managed to beat Juve 2-1. Unfortunately for Sergio Conceicao and his men, we fancy the Old Lady to secure a comfortable win on home turf in midweek. Have a punt on Juve to win with a -1 goal handicap at odds of 6/5.

Wednesday 10th March 2021

Liverpool v RB Leipzig

20:00, BT Sport, Puskas Arena

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will want to put their serious Premier League woes behind them and secure their passage through to the last eight of this season’s Champions League. The English champions hold a handy 2-0 lead in the tie and they will be hoping their shocking domestic form doesn’t creep in here to scupper their chances of progressing in Europe.

Goals in the second half from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane earned Liverpool a 2-0 win in the first game at the Puskas Arena last month. Leipzig are more than capable of turning this tie around, but Klopp’s boys should see the job through. We can’t see Liverpool dominating the game, based on recent performances, but we fancy this to end all square, a result that would send Liverpool through and which is available to back at odds of 5/2.

Paris Saint-Germain v Barcelona

20:00, BT Sport, Parc des Princes

Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG and Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona meet in a heavyweight Champions League clash at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night. The French giants have one foot in the last eight after a stunning win in the Camp Nou. But can Barca call up the spirit of past European triumphs and find something special to turn the tie around?

The brilliant Kylian Mbappe shone in Spain a few weeks back, bagging a sensational hat-trick in a 4-1 PSG win. Pochettino’s men blew Barca away in the first leg and we can see PSG picking up another good victory in this one. Back the home side to be winning at half time and full time at a fair price of 9/4.
